Tales from our writers' journeys to publication

YA Fantasy and Sci-Fi series

By Stuart White

As an avid reader and writer of YA Fantasy and Sci-Fi, I an innately drawn to a specific type of book. Started in childhood with Narnia, moving onto Middle-Earth in my teens and taken to Hogwarts in my late teens/early twenties, my obsession has grown and I find myself reading almost nothing else.

So, I’ve decided to do a little series on some of those that I’ve read recently; mostly modern books, some well-known, others less so, but all equally compelling and world-busting.

1 – Red Rising by Pierce Brown

2 – Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

3 – I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

4 – Throne of Glass by Sarah Maas

5 – Half a King by Joe Abercrombie

6 – Way Down Dark by JP Smythe

7 – The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

8 – Pantomime by Laura Lam
